Can He Replace It?

Hello Shooters HQ Family & Friends,


I hope that this message finds you well and that you are still on a high from Resurrection Sunday, worshipping our risen King, Jesus Christ. He is ALIVE!


Now, as we transition into a new week and begin to roll back into the regular flow of things, I want to sober us with a question and food for thought... here we go:


Think of something right now that is very close to you. You could’ve been working towards a goal, investing months or years in a relationship, or preparing for certain "yeses" or "nos" to be said so the things you've envisioned can come to pass… You got it? Good.


Now, let's say that everything about this someone or thing you are wanting so badly, or have invested in for lengths of time, suddenly pivoted and didn't have a chance to come to pass anymore. In other words, you can no longer attain it.


My question is: Do you think that God could replace it? But not just replace it—could He give you something better?


Ephesians 3:20 states this:

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”


I had a pastor say it this way once: “God will never take something away from you and give you something new that is inferior to what was ‘lost.’”


However, we still find ourselves in life clinching and holding onto things that we know have already served their purpose in our lives and no longer bear fruit. God wants to replace that someone or something, my friend, if it becomes necessary to do so for the purposes of your life in Him.


Will you allow Him?


This week we will explore this as we take a trip through the landscape of Sodom and Gomorrah, where Abraham, Lot, and his family were.
